How did it all start?

I have always been fascinated by glass in all of its interesting forms - but it always had to be translucent. I have no objection to colour. To the contrary, anybody who has ever seen my house can attest to that. What I mean is I prefer translucent to opaque. I love to be able to see through the glass; to watch the light shine through it; to see the shadows and images projected by light through the objects. I like all kinds of objects made of glass - drinking glasses, knick knacks, dishes, paper weights, clocks, lamps, pens, jewellery, etc.

Again, anybody who has seen my drinking glass collection, understands. I have glasses in all shapes, sizes, forms and colours. There is just something about glass and its transparency that draws me in, enchants and mesmerizes me.

My trip to Venice and Murano made it clear to me that I should have been a glass-blower or someone who, in flights of fancy, worked with this medium to create fantasmagorical objects and let their spirit soar through this art form.
